I had no problem getting onto the #SS site last week just to check my personal info, and I did get my #SS benefit for April. But I was extremely worried beeforehand. For those seniors who are not computer literate or live in rural areas without internet connection, call your Congressman!!!!!

I've been collecting SS for a few years and already connected my account to login-dot-gov. I had to jump through the hoops to prove my identity (drivers license & selfie). I can't help but think it's more about building a file of our identities [to better control us], than about fraud as is claimed.

1-800-772-1213 option 8, follow prompts & ask for a call back. Ask to be mailed a physical copy of your SS Statement for your records, it does NOT include your SSN.

I have an adult disabled daughter-relatively independent. SSI check rerouted to the wrong PO. At the razor’s edge of her abilities to fget it sent to the right PO. 5 days late her supp insurance lapsed. Stuff of nightmares. I dread May. Have tried for months to get it sent to a card. Ugh.

If you are using the older SS access that had a username login, I chose forgot password, changed password, got in, then was prompted to use https://login.id. I was then able to log in

Yeah, the whole system where they ditched your old login and require either https://ID.me or https://login.gov accounts to sign in was a PITA. My husband had to jump through so many hoops before it worked it was insane! Then, https://login.gov said he was linked to SSA but it wouldn't work and asked for verification. Again

My access was changed w/o my request. I was able to create a https://Id.me account but it was an unnecessary change & opens up the possibility all kinds of errors. They need to keep their hands off! Not everyone has the internet or able to navigate these changes with no guidance or outreach to help folks.
