Pretty sure there's a guy whose one job is to tell Trump daily, "Yes, sir. We're making great progress on the tariffs. They will be very powerful tariffs, sir. They'll be ready very soon."

And they're just relying on his laziness, senility, and pre-existing lack of focus lasting until he dies.

Was talking to an elderly lady with dementia yesterday (as a nurse). She thought she was hiding it by giving vague or slightly related responses, then getting grumpy or saying "that's so and so's issue . Ask her." as a way of masking. So common in dementia.
