I'd suggest focusing on actual journalists because lame$tream media is propaganda not news in the era of fascism.

Many small indie news sources are what many of us use since forever ago. I haven't owned a TV since 1988.

Some libraries do offer free subs. I know LA County Library gives 3-day subs to NY Times that you can continually renew.

Perfectly said, John. I dropped my subscriptions to the NYT and WaPo because I was unhappy with their capitulation to Trump. However there are times I wish I had access to their reporting. If I could access their reports and if they seemed to be a slanted I would check facts from other sources.
