I am so good at looking on the bright side of things, much to others' chagrin some days, but I've been STRUGGLING to find the silver linings lately. If anyone has any hot tips, I am all ears.

I went for a noon walk instead of a morning walk and met a new neighbour and greeted several others. Also, my leeks and luffas have germinated, which makes me happy.
I’m reading my kid’s copy of Fourth Wing, which was passed through like 5 other young teen hands before I finally picked it up, and seeing their highlights and annotations is a delight.
I love this! I have leaned into reading a lot the last couple of years but I think I have to even moreso, you know? It’s such a fantastic shared experience.
Well, Premier Houston has withdrawn the paperwork allowing him to fire the AG without cause. Also, the sun shining on the fluffy snow this morning was stunning. And I saw the neighbourhood kids getting off the school bus this aft which always makes me happy for some reason.
I stood outside on the porch with no coat and the sun felt warm and then I noticed a trail of bunny tracks in the snow. It always warms my heart to see animal tracks, especially after such brutal cold, so resilient.
I was at the Maritime Conservatory of Music today and a gaggle of children from the next door Muslim school were lining up to go on an outing. They were so cute it put a big smile on my face.
I'm with you on this. Some of the small victories I've celebrated lately probably would sound ridiculous to anyone else. I'm like "did I see a nice dog" or "the sun is very sunny" and then I stop and think about that for a minute.
I walked with a friend this morning and we noticed the sky was a lovely bright shade of blue and the snow on the trees was very white, and it made for a great perspective when looking up.
i bought the url https://theglimmerproject.ca today ... at some point in the next couple of weeks, i'm going to launch it as a place to collect the little things that make us happy. because i'm drowning in all the doom, y'all ... i need some joy.
That is a great idea. I would love to see what this becomes. We need to celebrate the little things more as this world can be overwhelming at the best of times and let's be honest this is not the best of times.
This little thing made me happy the other day. The morning sun shining through the windows and glass panels on the stairs in the office lobby cast this beautiful spectrum of light.
Looking forward to the site when up and running.
Cheers!
