There is an error on this question (would). I do think calling a neighborhood a 5 mile radius made it hard for me to answer the questions correctly later on. Just something you might note if you're seeing oddities in the data. I think that number in urban areas might be lower?? Maybe I missed it

Yes, agreed. I live in Boston and when I had elementary-age kids, we would tell car people we had biked to activities 1-2 miles away from home, and they’d be horrified I had “made” my kids bike that far. I started leaving out where we live and just saying it was 7 minutes or whatever.

I've been riding my kids on our cargo bike here for years now. Improving bike safety in town is what originally got me to start speaking at council. Now I'm on it and continue the fight. Thank you for researching this important topic. Hopefully it can help us make State College an even better place.
