In practice greenhouse gas emissions are still going up and aerosols are rapidly decreasing, causing the net forcing to increase.
So it's not surprising that we're passing the model range
(not a statistician)
The problem is many people let their feelings determine how they look at the data, which is one of the reasons it takes so long for some to acknowledge the accelerated rate of warming.
