Does anyone find Safari on Sequoia will just randomly decide "Nah I don't want to load any new pages for the next like… 30 seconds"? Other browsers will load things fine

Yep. It works fine while on WiFi and working somewhere. Then I close the MacBook and go somewhere else (same WiFi, different access point) and it doesn’t work. Other browsers work fine.
No, but I have a similar issue with safari in the public beta of 18.2. I’ll be on an active page and it’ll just crash and refuse to refresh for about the same length of time…
I haven’t added feedback yet but I need to when it happens again.
I've had this issue for many versions of Safari, I feel like. Sometimes it just decides not to load anything else and I have to quit and relaunch Safari to fix it.
Started happening to me in Monterey recently. In the past like 2 months or so.
I suspect it has something to do with their anti-tracking or adblocking, because at least yesterday when I disabled built-in content blocker the page (reddit) loaded w/o issues when before it refused to do so for 2 mins.
Yep - even with iCloud Private Relay off. I can't say when it started because it's been happening for a good while now but definitely before Sequoia. It also only really seems to happen on the Mac, I haven't seen it on iOS devices (yet, knock wood). I filed feedback to Apple about this.

[*] Okay, I tried out the vertical tab feature, but it was insufficient to justify changing browsers.

So annoying!
Arc is dead in the water. that's how believing VC funded startups in their products. not specified to that one company.
Also seeing an issue where extensions won’t load the first time I click their icon. Clicking away and trying again usually fixes it, but not always
