I'm not the voice of reason here but I've long secretly suspected that society would be better if we didn't have a mob mentality when it came to inhumanely punishing the people we think of as "evil" or "criminals" or "lesser".

Much easier to say and do but idk, maybe it should still be said?

Based on witness reports, I would say no. I believe access to sedatives has been the main reason they are using alternatives...drug makers won't sell to them.

One could argue the Democratic shift is more of a Pro Life stance than most of the abortion ban policies that have been enacted over the last few years.
