Because it’s a wishy washy decision that says they have to TRY to get him back. Not that they HAVE to get him back. And they kicked it back down to the lower court. Not an expert but you don’t have to be when you Thomas, Alito, and Kavanaugh agreeing with all the other justices.

Except the word "effectuate" is somehow unclear and possibly beyond the district courts power to enforce. So the district court must clarify what it means while giving deference to Trumps foreign powers.

I ask too - and I hear it as well - I just meant higher profile folks than us.

But realistically I understand why it’s not being asked by higher profile folks.

He has to be alive because the alternative is too horrible to even contemplate - the fallout unthinkably bad.

Good...now what if they don't return him? What's the next step? IMO every lawyer should be held in contempt or jailed and then move to Bondi until it's done. Someone needs to start going to jail or all this is just for show.
