Should apply to spouses too

No lawmaker in Congress should be able to own, buy, and sell individual stocks.

We need to ban congressional stock trading—and I've got a bill for that.

I thought that would go without saying. When my wife was a gov't regulator, neither our kids nor I could own stocks related to products or companies she regulated.

But as I've learned from teaching & parenting, even when you think something goes without saying, you probably should say it anyway.

Absolutely. My daughter w/a home & fam of her own works for a radio station & I'm not allowed to enter any of their contests or promos. Silly example. But, working in govt in a sm town I had to excuse myself from so many mtgs & file conflict of interest disclosures because of relatives. Like, duh!😑
