When MAGA liars say, "I'm not familiar with that," why don't anchors immediately stop the show, give them a 2-minute tour of social media posts, articles and videos as documentation, and then re-ask the question?
It would be good TV. But anchors don't want to embarrass the guest. Because ... access.

BRENNAN: Darren Beattie has made inflammatory statements against women & minorities. If he couldn't work for the first Trump administration, how is he qualified now?
HAGERTY: I'm not familiar w/ Mr Beattie, but if we want to talk about qualifications, why not look back at the prior administration?

Little Maggie is a worthless hack suck up. Access "journalism."
Afraid to ask hard questions and demand answers.
This isn't new it's just even more obvious now.
MAGAS always talk in infinites!
Why have her on then? What's the point?
Viewers would be better informed if Face the Nation simply did a rundown of Beattie's tweets and left open the question of how a guy like him has a job in the administration.
And I'm not talking about Jordan Klepper and the Daily Show....
1 I'm not familiar
2 That's not what "he" meant
3 I'm gonna lie now
I don't know why reporters continue to ask these questions to those groups. Not one will ever answer truthfully. Ask some different people!
If they say no, at least they are publicly choosing ignorance.
They could do it if they wanted to - the fact that they don't tells you everything. Platforming without pressing!
Ugh
It's long past time for the media to play hardball here.
1. I don’t know about that
2. That’s not what he said
3. That’s not what he meant
4. You don’t understand
5. What about what the other guy said
6. ‘Squirrel!’
But they let them get away with it every time. Thats why no one watches
From within or without or both it doesn't matter--
It WOULD be good TV.
I prefer honest politicians! If you can't spin it without lying, you suck as a pol anyway!
Line. Nancy mace is great at using it.
though if you do that they'll start saying "you're taking that out of context"
I mean there's a level of politeness but like there needs to be people willing to just start calling people on their bullshit. If theyre also going to just feed them bullshit
They’ve got to push back.
"Men need to be in charge" kinda says it all.
Frankly, I’d love to hear one of them say, especially to trump, “You’re a f’ing lair! I’ll see myself out”!
