Ghibli? Howl's moving castle is my comfort watch, Netlfix. Or Etre et Avoir (slow, sweet documentary about a tiny rural school in france) is on Curzon, Amazon Prime or Apple TV
Sorry, haven't got recommendations (other than watching pretty much any David Attenborough documentary!), but hope you're starting to feel better before too long! 🙏
I find Bladerunner 2049 to be very calm and cozy. While it has a few loud scenes, the visuals, score, and vibe of the film work for me when I just want to chill.
I tend to watch Pride, though it always makes me cry.
The 80s/90s rom coms are usually gentle, too. I rewatched both While You Were Sleeping and Sleepless in Seattle recently when feeling a bit fragile.
Thelma & Louise, Little Women, Portrait of a Lady on Fire, Pride and Prejudice have been on my recent playlist for comfort films. Powerful, yet comforting.
I watched Le Quattre Volte once when I was horribly unwell. It's basically got no dialogue so you can just watch and it doesn't matter if you're not feeling quite with it. Get well soon!
