We have a 2013 Ford Edge that is right on the border of analog/digital. It’s a happy medium that they should hold onto. Meanwhile my 70 y/o mom just bought a new Highlander with more apps than my phone.

We purchased a Mazda CX-5 and a Toyota Camry in a relatively short timeframe - there are things the Mazda does that I desperately wish the Camry had, despite the Camry being overall a better platform for what I need in a vehicle.
We have a 2019 Nissan Armada that had a pretty basic digital display. They must have really upped the game in the last couple of years with the whole Car Play thing. It’s really unnecessary and potentially dangerous.
I received a 3 month Sirius trial with the purchase of the new vehicle, and I think I turned it on maybe once? I've had Google Play / YouTube Premium beaten into submission for the last few years, it does a decent job of playing shit I don't hate for a quick commute.
Our two vehicles both have digital screens. The 2016 Honda Fit has an awful head unit with touch only and not even an audio twist dial. The 2024 Corolla with CarPlay has a twist dial. The trend for more digital may be reversing however - I think VW fucked up the Golf/GTI and everyone noticed.
Did she have to have a class before they let her leave the lot? My 72 y/o dad just bought a new Subaru and before they gave him the keys he got an hour-long orientation to everything that was on the touchscreen, not manual.

I'm driving 20 minutes to work at 0600, all I want you to do is play music, damn it.
But HVAC controls and entirely separate and the gauge cluster is thankfully dials with a small rectangular digital box in the middle.
Might be kinda useful when doing long-range summer drives across the middle of the USA for warnings and alerts.
