Always thought the Nats would bring in a veteran to compete at third base and have mentioned Paul DeJong as a possible fit.
Doesn't hit for average (.229 career), but clubbed 24 homers last year (would have led Nats) and has plus defensive metrics at 3B/SS. Low cost with upside.
