Scott, the majority of twitter is bots. The majority of all social media comment are bots. The goal is to engagement farm using hateful rhetoric and wild takes - to cause conflict and division.

I quit X years ago when it was Twitter but under Musk. They censored the hell out of us Democrats and I couldn’t tolerate that. Musk and Republicans destroyed the beautiful thing that Twitter used to be. Sad, but it will never be the same.

regarding bots, as long as they don't allow a connection key or api, you can keep bots off. disinformation would come in via account. just report all things like that, block and move on.
