I feel the same about BOTW
I think I just generally prefer the more old-school gameplay of Nintendo games (2D Mario, top-down Zelda, side scrolling Metroid etc)
(I am a white for Mario though)
I’ll still get the Switch 2 though. Can’t help myself. Just get swept up in the hype and excitement then get immediate buyers remorse. & question why their games just don’t hit with me like everyone else.

But fr, that's totally fine! I'm a Switch fanboy and huge BOTW fan, but they aren't for everyone! And that's okay :)
I get it for the exclusive JRPGs and whatnot that don't hit PlayStation. I also hate BOTW/TOTK era Zelda. It's just not my bag.
I get it though, the feeling you're describing is how I feel about Xbox.
Same on Zelda, just Tears of the kingdom in my case 😂
