I do because some albums are an experience that needs to be listen to from beginning to end. Tyler The Creator's Igor and Radiohead's In Rainbows come to mind.
Absolutely, typically of a service. But still toss a cd in or hit a record up for the hell of it. But, normally listen to a whole album if streaming to see if I mesh with the band
Sometimes, really depends on mood for me. I never know what I want to listen to I just bounce until something gets my attention, but I’m old maybe that’s the difference ?
depends on the artist for me! usually if i hear like more than one song i like i’ll check out their whole album. some artists i feel like the whole album is Required though (shoutout coheed and cambria)
I prefer albums. Baroness’s “Stone” is the kind of album you should really listen to straight through, same with many of The Ocean’s albums. I’m not opposed to singles though. Most of my releases are singles. It takes a lot of work, time and money to write, record, mix, and release an album.
I’ve always listened to full albums. Even to this day. It’s really great the kind of experience you can get from doing so. Sure maybe the album has a few songs that aren’t as good. But they exist that way for a reason. And often they help bring the whole album together.
Yeahhhh well sometimes albums just suck. The concept of a whole album works a lot better with certain genres of music. Less so with more mainstream stuff. Trying to make every song a hit or banger is just gonna make the album messy as a whole.
Yeah, absolutely. It does depend on the album though - some I feel are more of a singular work than others. But I probably listen to a full album 2-3 times a week, old and new.
I used to back when it was more common to grab the cd and play the whole thing on repeat for days XD Still do sometimes when I’m in a particular mood or if it’s a particular band but most days I let things shuffle
Hell yeah I do. It's less common now because I rarely listen to full albums of artists I don't know... But that's just because of how much music gets put out there.
Any time one of my favorite artists does yes, if it's a band I'm unfamiliar with then I'll usually give it a couple songs to decide whether or not to spin the full thing.
A couple of my favorites from awhile ago and if I find a new artist or one I haven't heard in awhile I'll listen to the album just to check out their songs
Yee, if I look for new music from artists or labels I enjoy, I usually listen to the full album first and then add that to my big shuffle list afterwards. Seldom I do queue some albums as well but it is quite rare.

For instance I'm going to buy the Sleep Token album and crush that shit for a hot minute.
I do because each song is a story and together they all have something in common
Though often I'm listening to music on YouTube.
I may buy a full album but only listen to the music that I like
