Genuine question do these guys go through like a dozen drones a week or do little drones actually survive flying through violent tornadoes

- they have more than one team and deploy on several storms. We don’t see the “misses”. They could also deploy multiple sensors on each storm. Some drones (w/permission) can operate out of LOS
- drones these days are stronger and thus not merely passive tracers

A JDI drone has tiny motors.
i think it helps that drones hover like helicopters and don't rely on airspeed like airplanes
