Now it's nearly 270 university presidents who have signed onto this "unprecedented government overreach" public letter. It was less than 180 this morning.

I am glad they are signing on in droves, but I’m still fussy with my Alma Matter for not signing the amicus brief to defend foreign-born students and staff from ICE abductions. The president told me, “There are many ways to resist.” Yeah, and she should be doing ALL of them.

There are only 187 R1 universities, the ones Trump said were screwing NIH out of money with charges for overhead and space. So yeah, this is bigger than it might appear given there are only 2,637 4-year colleges granting degrees out of the total of nearly 6,000 that includes 2 year and non-degree

Dartmouth hired the RNC chief counsel (who has defended the GOP effort to redefine birthright citizenship) as General Counsel overseeing the office of visa and immigration services, and has him teaching a class on election law.
