My take: this is a terror campaign, being waged against intellectuals, and the only people that can speak out about graft, sweetheart deals, and illegal acts (fed employees).

It's purpose is quiescence. Fear + chaos driven by uncertainty and the loss of labs, funding, livelihoods...

Does Germany allow Fox to broadcast there? After the Holocaust they admitted the German culture promotes a vulnerability to mass indoctrination and revised their culture to center this truth. We could try that here. US is vulnerable to fascism. Our new system will reflect this in education & policy.

How do you break the FOX/News max cycle where they constantly flip the narrative and twist the truths into lies. Let's say they have 30-40% of the general population audience. How do you fight that?

Best I have heard is gentle repetition with conscientiousness to not pushing too hard, bc that can easily cause a rebound effect, digging ppl further in.

With science it can be easier bc you can at least refer to studies and if they want, critically evaluate them.

I like to explain how things work, so I often am demystifying stuff that Fox intentionally glazes over for full shock value. That can take the teeth out of the propaganda, but never forget that the domain here is feelings, not facts (ironic lmao). You can't just throw facts at 'em and expect results

I think the only good reach is to ..gently engage.. on our own FB or other social media. If they know you as the nice Soccer Mom, the gardener down the block, the friend from high school/ college they might listen.
I believe it helps to not post far left ideas or observations...that is dismissed.

I used to believe this... however it's also wise to accept that people change; to draw a line and stand up for what you believe. This can include family. I find it difficult to "unite" with my MAGA brother who now posts Trans/ homophobic items. I count many LGBTQ among my Life friends. Blocked!!

In ways, I think this Government Chaos may accomplish just that. There used to be strong sense of Community that we have lost... caring for others. Example: getting vaccines so your neighbors are safer.
When faced with a common enemy, people come together. What we saw in WWII, post Diasters..
