Cooking ham for Christmas and had to go out, left instructions for teenager to turn off oven and open door to let heat out. They turned oven off and opened front door of house. £30 Ham continued to cook and burnt, how do you deal with that?

Reminds me of the story my dad told me a few years ago about when he was at a Boy Scout camp, they'd built a camp fire and when they were about to start cooking he told one of his mates to "put some water on the fire"...
When an oven is turned off, it doesn't return instantly to room temperature. The heat trapped in there will continue to cook whatever's in there. That is why the teenager was asked to open the door to let the trapped heat out.
You chalk it down to experience and never make the mistake of relying on a teenager again.
I know a teenager who when asked by her mum to freeze some raw leftover vegetables, like parsnips and celeriac, banged them into the freezer without washing or peeling them, let alone cutting in chunks.
Cook with them more, so that both: what you're really asking for will be more obvious to them; and also, you'll learn more about how to communicate with them. I also get that parent teenager relationships can be hard ...

You should get your kids involved with the cooking so they know what to do
It's good to offload tasks like that to them, too
Teenager, I mean.

Fucking it up so u dont ask him to do shit again.
You can build a career on it.
Be glad your house didn't burn down.
Be glad you don't have a dead child.
Just Google 'adoption agency'.
Did you write it down? You know they only heard "turn oven off....."
