All tips welcome as my early sortées have not been great ..
unless I cooked everything as normal with less fluid and then just dump in the slow cooker to finish cooking.

I bought the BBC Good Food slow cooker recipe book which is cheap and simple and gives a good idea how to work out your own recipes for slow cooker. I don’t think I’ve had a single failure from that book

I rarely cook anything first except sometimes the spices. Definitely need less liquid as it doesn't evaporate down and thicken up the way it would in an oven. If it's not quite thick enough I add some cornflour mixed with cold water to it towards the end. If you eat meat then a flemish stew

Which is thickened with bread is very tasty. Currently have a beef chilli in it which smells delicious 😋. I cook a joint of meat in it sometimes too with some stock and it just comes out so tender.
