I am glad you found this model -- I have the Dana now because I needed a bigger screen than the alphasmart offers, but this one is better shaped than the Neo one, which was the first one I ever bought. I hope it works well for you! 📚

These devices can definitely help a lot with the writing! Thankfully I had a saved cable that has the square-headed thing that goes into one side and then the other end to send what you've written onto the PC. The battery replacing is not the best, but you'll get into a groove 😊

I have the PC cable but not the square one, so I ordered it earlier. 🤘🏼 I'm just *so* thrilled with how portable it is, and will throw some spare batteries in my purse now JIC. Other than that I expect it will get very familiar with most of the rooms in my house 😆

My Sister bought a 10-pack of them on eBay when they were selling for $15 just to get rid of them. 🤷‍♂️ FYI. Make sure to replace the internal button/watch battery before writing too much.

They're a little sticky but I don't have the slightest idea how it's assembled or how to safely clean it. Do the keys just pop off and I can use rubbing alcohol or something? I was going to look it up tomorrow, lol.

I was able to get them all out safely! I used a nylon pry tool and went VERY gently. They're not as delicate as a Mac keyboard, thankfully, but they could easilly break if you go too fast @stinasdemons.com

In my 1980s-90s two-way radio shop days we had freon based "tuner solvent" originally designed for old school TV tuners that had oil/greases involved in the mechanics of them. That stuff would clean ANYTHING off ANY surface in no time flat. And dry instantly. But then freon became an ugly word.
