I have a graphics tablet (Wacom One Medium - currently on offer at Curry’s) that I plug into the computer.

I have a Surface Pro, so I'm free to wander! The students have iPads. We use Class NoteBook/ OneNote extensively:

- class notes, handouts, exercises and ppts all go in there,
- h/w is submitted there so I can easily mark it online,
- collaboration space used for working together in class.

Complex numbers come very early for us. Our further mathematicians start on a mix of single and further topics from the get go. In the first term they'll see some complex numbers, matrices, method of differences, Vieta's formulae, momentum, power, energy...
