Fun fact: I left it set in 2012 because the state of same-sex marriage is a sticking point for one of the characters, and I wanted to keep that, but I updated some tech stuff. I had to search up whether the word "selfie" was in use; it was, but barely. Slightly anachronistic inclusion here.
