I don't really have time for pretending that personal taste in books is the end-all, be-all of what makes a book good quality, especially when it comes to things like voice, tense, and POV. Even the most unpopular of these can serve a story well if used with care. 🤷 YMMV, as we say where I'm from.

I have to spend a minute to gush about the cover art here. I'm iffy on the design/font - both my choice - but the art of Lilly and Jolene is by my friend Tay (ambiguouspenny on Insta) and has been the wallpaper on my phone for ages. I love how Lilly is challenging the viewer with direct eye contact.
