Day 27
Work/life separation
I've said it many times. Despite living on site, I feel more separate from work than ever. As we start a 3 wk holiday, I feel under no pressure to check mails or use days to 'catch up'.
SLT drive this part of our culture well and model it too. 😌

Finding your tribe
If leaving loved ones behind, it is important to find meaningful connection in your new home.
As I've got older, I'm much more comfortable staying in, so I have had to energise my social life 😂 One way has been by watch live ⚽ at the Thunderdome.
Service
Service/supporting charity is a large part of school life, we have postholders to oversee and coordinate this work and student led projects.
Many (not all) students come from a background of sig privilege. We push the importance of using that to benefit others
Gratitude
My final tweet really is this 👆
Life is not perfect and neither is our school. There are frustrations, challenges and we miss people, but I enjoy being both a pastoral leader and a classroom teacher again.
We've taken risks, but it's been worth it, so far 😊
