Bruh, yes. Z moves are probably the *most balanced* of all the Mega/Z/Dynamax/etc stuff they've ever implemented.

But yeah, that clip is funny.

Honestly, I loathe every power up feature they tacked on. Mega evolution at least made them look cool but I never have enjoyed their decisions to make Pokémon Super Saiyan mode. Dynamax ruined the whole game for me.

Yeah, they're definitely cool and fill an obvious "rule of cool" feature, but they destroy game balance. It shocks me how many players cheer for megas when they're something the game had to backtrack from *hard*, hence Z-moves actually being balanced (but boring, their singular crime).

They have a second crime, although it’s more endemic to the whole series… the low effort animations. A company with more money than god making Xerneas sliding around in twinkle tackle like it’s a 12 year kid’s A/V homework hurts my soul.

Nah, totally forgivable IMO. The level of work required to manage EVERY possible animation for EVERY pokemon would be monumental. Simply not possible.

I agree to an extent, but the overall quality is below what they should be. I don’t need handcrafted animations for every ability, but so many base animations have looked pretty jarring. Surprisingly looking vaguely rectified in the new installment.
