We need to be pushing for laws that bring penalties to bear for those who abruptly switch parties. Doing so should immediately trigger a special election for whatever seat the person flipping holds. They should also be unable to use whatever election funds they may have left and have to start over.

Oh, I'm hoping for plenty of infighting and plain ole incompetency just like the last time. Give us even more, in fact. But Democrats need to not yield the field. They need to fight and filibuster and do whatever they can to prevent, mitigate, or at the least, slow down, the fascist agenda.

That strategy only works for arsonists who don't care if the govt burns down. W/Dems understanding that there are basic things that need to keep running, R's can just tie the most toxic legislation to those things.
Working to keep govt functional doesn't exclude the option of strategic obstruction.
