Presser for the new UMass football coach was also Ryan Bamford's moment to reinvent himself and that's what he attempted to do. If nothing else, the guy knows how to survive professionally.

Joe Harasymiak. Rutgers DC and former Maine head coach. Good hire on paper. Seems like a bit of a sociopath hardo obsessive which is probably the only thing that would work at this point.
He made an admission of soft accountability and balanced it with his stake in future success. The verbiage was clumsy, but the analysis feedback is the same: this hire is his last if it doesn’t work out. Success doesn’t need to be overnight. Just gradual growth. If that doesn’t happen, it’s over.
All I could think the whole time is that the same exact words have already been said, twice before, with two different coaches. So maybe it’ll be different, but it doesn’t make you feel good about caring throughout the first two go-arounds
