Me? I'm agnostic. I just don't know (and I'm ok admitting when I don't know things). But I've friends and family who are the GOOD flavor of Christian, and I feel for them during times like these. Like, "help the less fortunate" Christians, not the "deport the less fortunate" fascists.

In one of Neil Stephenson's more recent books he projects a future where Red State American Christians have decided that the Passion of Christ is fake, a story injected into the faith with the intent of weakening it. They believe Jesus did not die on the cross, and did not suffer the Passion.

The idea that a bunch of Americans would decide 2k+ years of Christian doctrine was "fake" and substitute an unsupported alternative religion that aligns with their values is pretty prophetic.
