My wife was a HUGE fan, growing up with the books and then the movies. Like midnight release party level…

She can’t even bring herself to try a watch one or crack a book again. JK has tarnished it all for her. It’s beyond sad and disappointing.

I still love the stories. I read them aloud to my sons as we cuddled on the couch or drove on vacation.

I won't let her tarnish that for me, but she won't ever get another penny of my money whether through books, movies, or amusement parks.

I felt this in my core. I loved the books and films. I couldn’t wait to share them with my children some day. But I can’t in good conscience. She is such a vile person, so cruel and bigoted that I also feel that betrayal. I cried with those characters, I felt their joy and pain. So disappointing

I don't agree. They signed a contract and were paid huge amounts of money for a role. Her books were huge without the films. She put the magic in Harry Potter, which is a large part of why the movies were a hit.
