When I was a kid picking this game up I remember vaguely it advertising "playonline" when you look at the box art and thought you could play blitzball against other people 😔 missed opportunity
I actually really enjoy it. I love X more but I really really love the way they bring back the job system in X-2 and I think overall its a fun ff game.
I find it so interesting how FFX has stood out the test of the time and should be seen as a blueprint for what fans want out of a FF game. Not necessarily bc of the combat, but the fleshed out world and characters that made Spira feel real and relatable. This is the soul of a FF game.
