Why would Everton be paying, this is the responsibility of the council who said from the start that the transport infrastructure would be improved to serve the area. They have failed.

The infrastructure at Sandhills should’ve been sorted years ago but is not the main problem. The biggest issue is that Merseyrail won’t run 8-car trains and won’t increase train frequency to meet demand on match days. If they did then the pathetic ‘fan zone’ would actually be sufficient.

They run them on Grand National meetings and they also increase the frequency of the trains. If they can do it for that, there’s no reason why they can’t for football.

Liam a bridge is all well and good but the platform isn’t long enough. Surely they could increase the length of the platform as well? They did that at Liverpool South Parkway

The platform can take 8 carriage trains. The issue is lack of platforms. It really needs another northbound platform

Looks like a giant contraption version of the game Mousetrap. Regular daily buses going to the stadium other than just match day soccer buses from a few select locations would help as would match day circulars that serve Bank Hall, Kirkdale and Sandhills to relieve congestion at just one station.

Once again , as happens with housing and other big developments in England, developers adding public transport as an afterthought. Then wondering why there’s problems.
Why on earth wasn’t this insisted on as part of the planning permission for the stadium and built to be ready at the same time ?

Surely this should have been looked into. I think Merseytravel and the Council have been naive at best, to think that what they have in place was good enough.
Sandhills is completely different to what Aintree has to offer, with so many different lines attached to it.

To travel green, but there has been no advertising or information. Football buses are great, but they need to be available from a lot more venues than just the strand and the city centre
