Gonna have to disagree. You used to represent the area w/ one of the deadliest stretches of road (rt.29 between C-ville up to Marshall). So many accidents due to speed, often truckers. We need ‘something’ to change behavior. What’s your alternative? Serious question - ready to listen.

How about regular and consistent law enforcement? What are the statistics? This law just doesn’t apply to truckers—What are the enforcement costs? Are there comprehensive studies NOT done by the manufactures of the equipment? Why not just change vehicles? What does the warrant process look like?

The bill offers the alternative to a suspended license by putting a speed minder voluntarily in the vehicle so they can continue to drive lawfully. It’s an option, not a requirement & we already do this for repeat DWI drivers. I’m for anything that helps keep people alive on the roads. (1/2)

The alternative is that folks with suspended licenses may drive anyway, illegally. But how many need their licenses so they can work? I’d rather they get reminded of their speed limit & slow down, as well as drive legally. (2/2)

Nonsense. People going thay fast are a clear and present danger to everybody they share the road with.

We have no reason to accept lawless people putting us and our families in danger.

When the “tech” causes accidents downstream, and there are faulty readings and people simply change vehicles… good intentions can cause real damage without data to back up laws pushed by vendors.

A speed limiter with a fixed upper limit really isn't that hard.

Vehicle automation systems already do it. For example Tesla full self driving has an 80 mph cap.
