"How far does Labour go before they start losing who they are? The voters can just choose Reform if that's what they want."
Is the government copying Reform UK tactics to appeal to those "fearful and anxious" about migration?

Why are they ceding ground to Reform by validating all of their rhetoric on immigration?
This isn't how you address people's concerns.
Look how well it went for Kamala 'Build the Wall' Harris.
Apparently he's 'Labour' - sounds like a right-leaning Tory at best.
This Labour government is so over.
No wages.
Change the fucking narrative.
PLEASE
So they have to tell you themselves and be accused of grandstanding.
It's a no win outcome.

This interview with Jake didn't help.
Not just on policy but did he effectively infer it was ok to have/post horrible views, just not after you become an MP?
Labour are such a disappointment.
There doesn't appear to be even a sniff of any good news on the horizon.
Labour are such a disappointment. If I wanted filmed dawn raids on immigrants, I would have voted for Braverman. I didn’t, but still got a nasty party - and that Jake says Labour voters have to move with the times.
Yes, I will move with the times and stop voting Labour.
I think this needs to be happening alongside exactly what you say. We need a gov that can show the benefits of legal migration, without condemning those with concerns.
Lewis himself had the special on McSweeney. We know he’s hellbent on countering the hard or far-right. This will be born of that, particularly, rather than just trying to out-Reform Reform.
Those left behind to face climate breakdown may regret voting to kill net zero for him.
The opening question does not honour the person who wrote it.
Jake Richards is clearly close to Reform, and also says it is OK to post nasty derogatory remarks on WhatsApp until you are actually elected.
He also says basically if Labour voters don’t like what Labour are doing by chasing Reform, they can jog on
We need an alliance of left wing parties to fight this nonsense.

He says Labour voters have to move with the times - I will. I will stop voting Labour, something I have done all my life.
The Labour Party is unrecognisable and is also aimless.
😦😦😦
…As Reform UK are leading in the polls? Come on guys…
ID cards, acceptance that leaving the EU is a big part of this, and many other moral policies, can all reduce immigration to the minor place it should be for voters. Maybe they won't really ape reform?
