They tell themselves it can’t happen here. That the courts will save us, that institutions will hold, that this is just another election. But history doesn’t wake the sleepwalkers gently. It shatters them.

There's a rumour that Nigel Farage is keeping his head down because he's off to a Trump cheerleading conference over the weekend. I’m afraid I’m being proved right- Farage is far more interested in Trump's success than British security. He is a bootlicker and a plastic patriot.

Strangely enough the Telegraph looks less ridiculous with Sunday Sport stories.

Pretty disturbed by some of the Kremlin framing on the Trump talks being bought by parts of the media worldwide. It’s as if the genesis of the war is entirely forgotten. This isn’t a conflict which needs mediation. It was an unprovoked act of aggression. It could end tomorrow if Putin just withdrew.
