Pretty disturbed by some of the Kremlin framing on the Trump talks being bought by parts of the media worldwide. It’s as if the genesis of the war is entirely forgotten. This isn’t a conflict which needs mediation. It was an unprovoked act of aggression. It could end tomorrow if Putin just withdrew.

Russia is an aggressor and should stop the war and leave Ukraine. Nothing warm or momentous giving into aggressor.
Whilst even among that group, the majority are not maniacs. But in practise a majority of them will back or fall in line with the maniacs among their number when the chips are really down.
Did we learn nothing from the last world war?
(Though I do see your point)
Ukraine is not the aggressor.
Russia is.
Putin needs to give one order - withdraw.
He doesn't even need to surrender, just withdraw.
There's certainly people and organisations battling the tide, but it is the tide.
technically correct, but sounds like the usual both sideism BBC got wrong so often.
Also they frame the Trump - Putin dialogue as a “sideline of Europe” , when in fact I would find different portrayals, for example “US becomes a mafia state” or “would be dictator meets war criminal in the capita of a country where local dictator kills journalists”.
Time to boot out Tory management and journalists.
The licence fee payers deserve facts, truthful reports and to see/hear views which represent the majority of decent people. Also, stop endlessly platforming mega wealthy right wing grifters and racists.
Now Trump has created one.
The US proposal for Ukraine is an extremist creation of a bigger problem than the war itself.
Both are shocking and must never happen, but I'll let the reader decide which I think is the more insane.
There is always a ready supploy of idiots who will lap up kremlin propaganda. It's how russia has stayed relevant despite being a junkpile.
It is an unjust war started by Russia’s invasion of a sovereign country in which Putin is engaged in war crimes.
It is not resolved by mediation, but by withdrawal of Russia, reparations and criminal proceedings.
Only when it looked that Ukraine would not capitulate did the West start supporting.
Now Ukraine stands between Russia and Europe. US is unreliable, nay hostile.
Call it out Goodall. It’s good old fashioned pillaging & plundering for treasure. Swashbuckling pirate scum. 🏴☠️
Simples.
Can I be president?
Isn’t this a time to be specific and include Crimea?
Being vague is a way to let Putin off the hook for the 2014 incursion
God help Ukraine. God help us all.
Ironically the BBC's Ukrainecast podcast is one of the few fair and sensible sources.
We need to meet them on their own turf.
No journalist should report the "war in Ukraine". Instead, report the "[ongoing] Russian occupation of Ukraine".
Never Russian force, always *invading* Russian forces.
The limits of when "both sides"-ing is considered valid have continued to be pushed year on year, and now we're here, platforming apologists for Putin.
