The worst ambitions of Netanyahu have my contempt, as does he for standing next to Trump yesterday as part of the insanity. That said, after 10-7, Israel was going into Gaza after Hamas. No one -- no administration, GOP or Dem -- was going to do anything but be an ally to that. Hamas knew it too.

Two days after October 7, Israel indiscriminately cut off food, water, and electricity into the Gaza strip. Four days after that, discussions to expel the civilian population reached official levels. Why do you take it as an article of faith that Israel was only targeting Hamas when it's untrue?
