Thanks. I've watched a few but mainly with one of my fave actors eg William Powell, Ronald Colman, Gary Cooper & recently John Barrymore but would like to get more into them.

You nailed that. "Caligari" was my gateway drug, and also the silent film people are most likely to see. You put me on to "Judex", and I agree it's great, but alas not the kind of thing most people will have access to. Someone should fix that.

Das Cabinet was (and is to this day) one of the movies that surprised me the most. Never until that moment I thought "old movies" could be so appealing to a modern eye. I'm surprised that Hollywood did not yet attempt a sloppy remake.
