I have been catching up on the full nearly six hours of the MSG Trump rally. At one point they actually played "Dixie," an anthem of the old South.

Yes, but Abraham Lincoln claimed he really like that song, so that really means --
-- aw, screw it! I got nothin'

Playing "Dixie" in NYC is grounds for being stuffed into a locker and dumped in the Hudson by the 5th NY Zouaves

They played it as Byron Donalds walked onto the stage and up to the mic. Because of course they did.

Played just before he walked out. There was a different song he walked out to.

Thanks. I knew it was for him, but having it be the walk off music is worse…if that’s a distinction one can make.

Played for Rep. Byron Donald's walkout! Whoever planned the music must have thought it was a "joke".

We sang that song at our 6th grade recital! I had a solo!
Mind you, this wasn't *all that* long ago either.

At that event a week or so ago, that Trump turned into a weird sway-to-the-music party, they played Elvis’ rendition of “Dixie”.
@pbump.com wrote about it in WaPo.
