I think this is an awesome project that needed to get off the ground, and needed someone with journalistic credibility to kick off the first iteration!

I’d be really curious to see if this takes off if you can eventually charge for verification (some flat fee like your costs to do the verification + some reasonable margin).

I think being able to offset the costs of doing the verification will be necessary to keep this around long term

Like, when it’s built into Twitter it could just be a cost center for Twitter, but as a third party operation it either has to stay small enough to be a side project for you forever, or eventually bring in a little bit of money to cover costs
