Domain names are not verification of identity

I will never forget the time someone bought the domain name of Guy Fieri’s failed restaurant and posted this fever dream of a menu.

Need a plan to shut that down
Bots are a fact of life. Some kind of “suspected bot” badge seems like a good though idea lol.
Amiright
FanDuel and DraftKings both have a system in place to keep bots from exploiting promotions & it works.
Reddit can ban bots based on device ID as well.
Enough of this defeatist aww schucks crap.
Even if the user wishes to remain anonymous to the rest of the platform, centralized verification has to happen or BlueSky will fold like X did to bots & foreign influence
BlueSky needs to verify that every single user account is 1 single human being
Then the label ‘verified human’ goes into the profile
This is not impossible to do, and like I said, DraftKings
& FanDuel Sportsbooks do it every day to prevent bots from abusing promotions.
And it works.

"On Bluesky, you can set your website as your username. This is one form of verification on Bluesky, and it's our version of a "blue check." We highly recommend that official organizations and high-profile individuals do this."
