Tried to log onto social security account. They’ll only allow me if I use their 3rd party authenticating company where I have to upload pics of my ID. And the TOS says they can do what they want with my data. INSANE.
Are you referencing https://ID.me? This really is legitimate. I did it about 3 years ago with Social Security and I also use it for some other sites that require more rigorous authentication.
Not trusting the government or tech now is certainly very understandable. After I posted that, I realized that none of us really has any idea whether they may have even hacked into that.
Since no one can verify that data was or wasn't changed when "DOGE" "staff" accesses it, what does that mean for trust and reliability of IRS records. Does it open up every single action to dispute by everyone?
Oh...I get it.
I don't understand why no one is stopping this. DOGE is not a real govt agency. By the time the court gets involved, Elon Musk has already taken our private info, shutdown offices, and fired workers.
Donald Trump has facilitated a white collar army overthrow of the federal government, via massive date breaches from which our country may never fully recover. The Technocracy Movement and influence of Curtis Yarvin on Silicon Valley sociopaths, and here we are.
If Dodgy (I find this a better name) wants to focus on IRS collection, it could start with the guy who avoided taxes completely on $2.3 BILLION on Tesla income in 2024 alone & all the other millionaires & billionaires who don't pay their fair share. That would really increase the collection rate.
