omg joe this is like sports david lynch for me. i got to have a great conversation with him once and he dazzled in his ordinary every day kindness. his voice also sounded so soft in person i almost didn't believe it was him

he came into the bar i worked at one night and not knowing his face (i only knew his calls) i just sat and talked to him. we talked hockey and life stuff and someone came up to me to say "do you know that's mike lange" and i was like "STOP" and he thought it was hilarious and brushed it off
