Careful! UBI doesn't guarantee any actual needs. Universal Basic Services #UBS makes more sense. I'd add #JobGuarantee to prevent inflation and, more importantly, decentralize and distribute political and economic power.

Would you ever say, careful Social Security doesn't guarantee any actual needs? Seniors shouldn't get cash because they have Medicare and instead of cash to buy food they should get food stamps or food banks? We need UBI and UBS. Don't pitch them as enemies.

Yes. #UBS is better than Social Security.
Look at all the seniors who struggle on declining incomes. Listen to the politicians who still want to cut it.
Everyone should get some level ground of at least food, home, job, healthcare, banking, education, communication... Then, UBI can make sense.

In Canada, politicians are too worried about incentives to work. They won't even support disabled ppl to poverty level because they think we should be working. We who cannot due to medical or mental conditions
