I have to check on my good old Win95 buddy on a regular basis to make sure he's still running smoothly and I enjoy it every single time ❤️ #Windows95 #Retro #Windows #Win95 #90s #Computer

Yeah, it is! It's faster than one of my Win 10 laptops 😂 It doesn't have any stupid background programs to boot up and it doesn't have to check for updates. You just turn it on and then you can work with it. I miss those days.
Oh, that's what I do use the comp for, at least every now and then (I don't want to put it under too much strain, it is a senior citizen after all, lol)! It can even still run Riven. ☺️ Win95 will always be my favorite system.
That is nice to hear your favourite is windows 95. The oldest windows system I have used is windows xp and it was pretty nice. 😊 It probably has to the best that i have used when it comes to windows.
XP was good as well, I used that one too ☺️ Very stable system also. I just have so much nostalgia for Windows 95 because it was my first real system. We used Win 3.1 in school but those comps weren't functional most of the time 😂
The fact that I forgot that there was a time when computers loaded the wallpaper first before loading the desktop icons and taskbar lmfao 🤣 Trip down memory lane, thanks for sharing!
Someone explained to me that this is because back in those days home computers were thought to be at the peak of what they could do. So, companies built them to last decades. And mine sure has. Only needed a new CD ROM drive recently. That's all. Everything else inside still works.
It's the original keyboard that came with the comp and since it's an IBM comp and those keyboards are an IBM thing IIRC... I would assume so? Not sure tho 🤔
I have CD Roms and floppies. And a guy who can keep the comp in good shape. He did an overhaul a little while ago but surprisingly few things were broken! These old comps sure were built to last.
my dad made a HUGE mistake (but necessary due to lacc of money back then) by selling his Pentium III + TNT 2 Pro system. its special cuz he managed to make Windows ME ran stable on it unlike so many other people.
This was my first comp. I can't imagine selling it. I kept it around and running for all those years. I went through lots of other comps aside from it ofc but this one will always be special to me. And yeah a comp that could run ME and be stable? Rarity indeed! So sorry that it's gone! 🥺
I wanna put my gaming rig into a case like that because it’ll remind me of my old PC I used to have as a kid which my grandmother had me destroy because “it had a virus.”
I’m now 99% sure it didn’t, she was just mad at how old it was.
My dream of making a sleeper PC must wait, but it will be done, my RTX 4060 PC must get to live like my past pc did, loved and cherished in a case full of history and life, and I will NOT let it go as a failure!
It's why I keep this comp around. It still has all my old files and fan fics (I've secured them elsewhere as well of course). And my old games. It's a glimpse into my teenage years that I don't want to give up.

You could use it to play retro games and older software.
Anyway thanks for sharing the video. :)
(I now run Linux fedora on my main system.)
Like helium drives, they cant last.
cuz I hope u have. Keep this machine running as long as possible man.
If only we still kept that computer....
All the other sounds too tbh.

I like hearing about people’s past, tech or not, and now I’m curious!
(Currently looking for the old case I used to have.)
