Seems like more cell manufacturing is coming online, though for the time being, probably yes. If they are constructed, they would have the capacity to meet current US demand. They even mention the wafer mfg further upstream is building up too.

I respect Jenny’s expertise on all things financial, but this take is no longer correct. Module manufacturing is now very sophisticated and difficult to do well. It may be the cheapest and easiest step, but it’s still hard. We would never get cells and wafers without a pull from modules.

It’s huge, and it’s so cool to see giga scale modern wafer and cell too. I always like seeing more CdTe, but giga scale silicon in the US is game changing.
