Can't you raise something here? where people can directly donate for the founding first 4 m either 10, 100 or 1000 $ and get some sort of reward, naming, the more the donate to maintain and expand bluesky.

I really wish it weren't so. ActivityPub, the protocol underlying Mastodon, is far from perfect but would be a much better foundation for federated social media. I don't have any skin in the game, I just saw a small window for open social media due to Musk backlash but this initiative won't work.
