So perhaps all the center-left pundit types who joined in the DEI pile-on were not in fact responding to public opinion, but were merely laundering their own reactionary instincts in a way that resolved cognitive dissonance?

DEI public favorability continues to be +19.
Pundits are wrong that:
1) DEI is unpopular. It's popular.

I think DEI, properly implemented, is essential for many reasons. At the same time, I think there are places that have gone overboard (some college administrations, for instance). Your thoughts?
